'Wake up' the controls to change the settings - touch the drive knob and turn it down all the way to remove some distortion.  Touch the FX1, FX2 and FX3 knobs and turn down (all the way counter-clockwise to turn off all those effects.  Once you've got the exact sound you want, save the tone to a User Preset so you can recall it easily.
