Okay, so I edited this thread to make it a more definite question for you Rich.
Are there any plans to expand the horizons of the JTV (or regular Variax's) to include a 7-string version? If no current plans exist, would Line6 and the Variax Team consider the R&D of such a product, or is this just me being ridiculous?
The new JTV89 has the perfect styling and would be a great candidate for the addition of the 7th string. A guitar such as this would truly be able to take the place of every guitar need imaginable. A nice addition to the Alt Tuning and Guitar Models would be to include something in the way of Pickup Modeling, ie. Seymour Duncan Blackouts, Dimarzio PAF-7's, EMG 81-7's etc. in a 7-string version, even if it meant dropping 3 guitar models from the existing options to make room.
BTW, as for the current three models in the JTV range.... AWESOME! I can't wait to try them out. The Variax I was good but certainly was not without it's share of shortcomings. From everything I have read on the JTV's it seems many, if not all issues, have been addressed.
7-string or not, I may just have to get my hands on one regardless.
Congratulations on yet another fantastic, innovative push toward the future!
This would be guitar of my dreams,I would sell my soul for it,7 string James Tyler Variax, lets call it JTV799
,with floyd rose,24 frets, with famous metal guitar emulations,hm sounds too good..
Also I heard that many people have pulm muting on extisting models with makes them not really usable to heavier music...I hope those are just problem that can be solved by updates cause I really looking foward to buy one...
And answer is yes,I would love more than anything to make it krank678.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
