XPS A/B mA requirement?

Hi
Can anyone tell me the mA requirement for the Variax XPS A/B box? I'm proposing to run it alongside a bunch of DC pedals, using one of these:

It has a 9V AC output that delivers up to 1000mA. Would this be enough?
Thanks in advance!
Keef
I wouldn't think so; the XPS power supply itself delivers 2000ma.
I know, but that's just their standard PSU, so it has to match the most power-hungry device in the lineup. The M13 needs about the full amount, the M9 only about 1200, so I'd be suprised if the XPS needs more than 1000.
I'd be grateful if someone could tell me definitively though. Otherwise the only option is to buy the Modtone unit and return it if it doesn't work. I don't like doing that though, as it's a bit mean to the supplier.....
I'll hook up a variax 700 to a bench supply and ammeter - we'll see exactly what it pulls. I'd like to know for myself now -
That'd be awesome if you can do it! Thanks ![]()
Hi mojo - I would also be very interested in the results of this test. Have you had any success in measuring the current draw?
