FBV Express doesn't sync up with Bass POD XT anymore

I've had this FBV Express pedal for a few years now and I used to use it with my Bass POD XT for gigs and stuff... recently I dug it back out to give it a go, and while I can connect it, the controller doesn't seem to respond in anyway other than having the volume light turn on after a while. When I try to engage the pedal, nothing happens either.
When I first plug it in, the L and 6 led will display and then go blank... followed by the volume light a few seconds later.
I've found that others have had the same problem, but I still have not found a solution for it....
Wondering if anyone can please help me!
Thanks!
Hi,
Is it an FBV Express or Express MKII?
Try Calibrating the pedal and see if that helps:

Thanks for the reply, it's an Express Mk I and I tried to calibrate it but it just turns off after I hit the A & D buttons and I have to reset my pod in order to turn it back on...
Hey LVXS,
Can you please try to use a different CAT5 (Ethernet) cable to connect to your FBV express. In addition, be careful to make sure that all of the connections pins on the Bass POD XT pedal jack are not bent or damaged at all.
Thanks for the reply!
I've actually tried multiple CAT5 cables as well as the original cable but it has not worked... I examined the ports and none of them seem to be damaged...
I'm wondering if perhaps the firmware on the Express isn't compatible with the new updated firmwares for the POD causing it to not recognize it or something? I don't know much about that... but I thought it might be a possibility? I don't think there is any way to update the firmware on the MK I though...
Thanks again for the replies so far!
Just a question on the side though, what options would I have if any of the prongs in the connection port were bent?
Hey LVXS,
The flash memory on the FBV Express MKI is not up-datable. In addition I made sure the most recent BASS POD XT flash memory is fully compatible with the FBV Express MKI after testing it.
If you have already tried numerous Ethernet cables without success then the only option you have is to have it repaired. I suggest contacting a local Line 6 Service Center and have them assess the BASS POD XT for repair. To locate a Line 6 Service Center in your area, please follow the link below:
