try some contact cleaner on the pickups sometimes crud gets in between the pickup and the saddle breaking ground. if that doesnt work check the solder connections on those pickups.. they may need to be redone if that doesnt work then its new pickup time. id suggest if all else fails buy a set of graphtech pickups for it.

Variax 600 problem

HI all,

I have a variax 600 but lately either the A or D string seem to not be working.

With not working I mean no sound coming out.

Sometimes the D string works sometimes it does not, and exactly the same with the A string.

Any ideas as to what this might be?

Also does anyone know of any repairers in the South East of the UK??

I have sent Line 6 an email asking this but never got a reply :-(

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
