Hi, I have a flawless, black Variax 300 for sale with xps box, case. Also, I have a Variax 700 bass 4 string that I purchased new about 15 months ago. It is also flawless. Has factory case, pro XPS box, etc...I would be happy to sell the Variax 300 electric for $200.00 & the Variax 700 bass 4 string for $350.00.Someone need so grab these quick. I stil have my Variax 700 Acoustic (keeping it). I just got a Godin to replace the Variax 300 & a steinberger bass. Also-a Floor Pod Plus. Purchased 15 months ago. Flawless. Used about 20 times.Will sell for $90.00. Will sell all in a bundle for $600.00. Have pics of all.

No output from Line 6 Variax Bass 700

I've had this bass for just over 3 years, it's only had light use in my home studio, most of the time it's been hanging on my wall. Last week was using it fine, today I plug it in and no sound is coming out. The led by the model selector appears to be solid orange or red. It's hard to tell but looks more orange than red.

None of the knobs are responsive. Toggling the model selector by clicking on it does not change the color.

I typically use this running through my pod XT live into a MacBook Pro via usb connection. I also run a mono output into a mixer.

I've tried using my special Variax cable and also 1/4 out. No sound from either. I've tried with and without batteries (also tried fresh batteries) while connected the the Variax cable.

I've verified my Variax 600 guitar works great so the issue is isolated to the bass itself.

I've read about reflashing. Workbench software does not recognize the bass through the XT Live, nor does the Line 6 Monkey software. Since the led on the bass itself is a solid orange, I can't get any indication that the steps listed on how to reset an individual model is working.

I've read about the string calibration mode. This would've been useful for me to know before as the reason I've never used this bass much is that the Low E string has always overpowered the other strings in volume. However, I pretty certain I'm not in that mode because there is no sound being output and pressing the model select knob does not ever give me a green light. I also know that I am not accidentally holding down the volume knob while plugging in. I was worried at first that I might be stuck in that mode because of the orange light but I don't get any output, I've cranked the gain on my mixer and nothing is coming through.

So did I somehow get into some other undocumented mode that I can reset from or is my bass pretty much kaput?
